October 30, 2009
On October 30th, Reuben Gittelman Hebrew Day School will once again participate in their annual Cancer Awareness Day programs.
We encourage everyone to bring in money to help find a cure and raise awareness for children with cancer. During lunch, t-shirts will be sold for ten dollars and children can buy snacks at the bake sale. In addition, students can bring in two dollars to "dress down" and wear appropriate jeans to school. Those who do will also receive a lollipop and a sticker.
All of the money raised will be donated to an organization that helps find a cure for children with cancer. Since children who have cancer must go through Chemotherapy, which causes them to lose their hair, we are asking everyone to honor these children by wearing a baseball cap to school.
